The 2007 CPT® (Current Procedural Terminology) published by the American Medical Association contains a total of 458 code changes. There were changes made to every section of the manual including 258 additions, 79 revisions and 308 deletions. There were also an additional 91 changes made to guidelines, introductory notes, explanatory text, headings and cross-references.
These changes are effective beginning with January 1, 2007 dates of service, as there is no longer a grace period for annual coding changes. [Read More]
