Director’s Message

Retention of good, productive employees is key to any organization.  Maintaining competitive salaries and employee benefits only keeps companies competitive with the rest of the employment market.   What sets an organization apart from other employers is culture, employee opportunities, employee perks and good internal communications.

Pre-booking Flu Vaccine Issues

It looks to be a wild start to next years flu season.  We had reports that Sanofi-Pasteur (Aventis) pre-booked all their adult formula flu vaccine within five hours of opening.  Attached are potential solutions if you did not get any to pre-book. 

Healthcare Savings Accounts/Reimbursement Accounts

We heard from several members that many questions and myths still abound about HSAs and HRAs.  Triium would also like to highlight that there have been minor changes regarding federal regulations concerning the amount that employees/ers can contribute to these vehicles and also the increase in the deductible necessary to classify the products as high deductible.  Adaptation from US Treasury Summary by Johnson McCann Benefits.
