Director’s Message

Triium is growing to serve you better by converting to an account management team structure.  This means that you will have one point of contact within Triium to address questions or concerns.  A mailing is going out shortly to introduce you to your account manager.

Strategic Alliance Formed with Broadlane

Triium is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Broadlane, a California-based group procurement services company that has national presence.  In fact, Broadlane counts more than 830 acute care facilities, approximately 2,400 sub-acute and almost 15,000 physician practices as its customers.  Broadlane leverages the purchasing volume of these customers to better negotiate contracts with hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers of medical supplies, capital equipment and other items used in a healthcare delivery setting, such as wireless service, computers and transcription.  At no cost to you, the Triium-Broadlane alliance brings you even deeper discounts.

Discounted Lead Screening Test through MedTox Laboratories

There is now an easier way to complete lead screening by use of a special filter paper and a finger stick done in the office.  Trium has contracted with CLIA and CAP-certified MedTox Laboratories of St. Paul to offer a blood-test “kit” at a rate of $9. 

The reimbursement currently ranges from $13 - $25 for CPT code 83655.  In addition, two local payers, HealthPartners and Medica, are currently covering finger sticks (CPT code 36416) and reimburse approximately $4 -$9.  A medical assistant can do this procedure.  The sample is then mailed to MedTox, who will return the results either by fax or email. Results are available in 48 hours.
