A Perfect Fit: Matching the right physician to the right job

(out-take) In deciding whether to use a physician recruiting firm, a health care provider organization should consider multiple factors.  First, but not necessarily foremost, is cost.  In addition to interview and reasonable relocation expenses, the provider organization will have to pay the firm’s service fee.

Although some organizations have physicians sign an agreement requiring repayment of relocation expenses, pro rata, if the physician leaves of his or her own accord during the first 12 to 24 months of employment, the same cannot be done with the firm’s service fee.  The firm guarantees the candidate that its service fee will always be paid by the hiring entity with no strings attached.
